Honorary members of the International Academy of Science
Honorary Academicians of the International Academy of Science are all ICSD members until 1990 which are Nobel Prize Winners and signed the foundation covenant of the Initiating Committee. From 1990 a Nobel Prize Winner can become honorary fellow (“Honorary IAS Academician) by assumption of membership.
By way of exception, and in a purely honorary capacity, on proposal by the Presidium of the Academy, persons who have deserved particularly well of the Academy and their sections, by honouring it and assisting it and its scientific undertakings, may be nominated by the of Presidium “Honorary IAS Academicians”.
Academicans (Fellowship) of International Academy of Science
Founding members and Fellows (Acad. IAS) of the International Academy of Science are all ICSD members until 1990 which are members of one national academy of sciences (full or corresponding) or are scientists with a high impact factor [1] or were members of the Initiating Committee, the Senate, the Presidium or Presidents until 1990.

Candidates for fellowship in the Academy must be recommend by their national sections (assembly) or be a member (full, corresponding or associate) of a national academy of sciences or have a high IAS Index. They are elected by the Presidium or the Academy Assembly on the basis of their eminent original scientific studies and of their acknowledged moral personality, without any ethnical or religious discrimination, and are appointed as IAS Academicians (Acad. IAS) for life by sovereign act of the ICSD [2]
In addition, the Presidents of the National Sections are appointed Academicians pro tempore. Scientific delegates from international scientific organizations [1] can be appointed by act of the Presidium. The Academicians pro tempore enjoy the same rights and perform the same functions as the IAS Academicians (Acad. IAS).

Associate Academicans (Associate Fellowship) of International Academy of Science
All full members of national sections of the International Academy of Science and political and economic delegates can be appointed as associate members / associate academicians (non voting) by sovereign act of the of Presidium. Associate academicians have the right to wear the academic notation Acad., to be mentioned on the web page and in the official booklet (with year op appointment), get an official IAS E-Mail address, can take part in all conferences and the academy assembly and to found legal national sections.
Members of IAS Sections (Fellows):
Members of Sections and Corresponding members of Sections are elected according their statutes.
*The members of ICSD-IAS (membership association) agreed to the Initiating Committee (ICSD e.V.) representing the ICSD in further arrangements till the autorization of independent activities of ICSD-bodies after the complete development.
